Autumn Forest

About 25 miles from where I live is The New Forest. Famous for it's witches and majestic trees. One of my favourite places and stunning in the autumn.

New Forest

There are patches of the forest that are vast flat lands, boggy and fertile, full of gorse bushes. Wild ponies roam around eating the lush grass.

Fields of Sun

At this time of year, we are surrounded by Rape fields. The intensity of the colour, the vibrant yellow, and the immense amount of pollen that coats EVERYTHING in a yellow film...

The train, runs right past my house, you only ever think about it when you havent heard one!

City River

This is in the city, I live on the outskirts. Even coming into town can be a calming experience!

This, believe it or not is right next to Winchester School of Art and behind me (as I took the pic), is a great hulking leisure centre!

So beautiful, and a great place to picnic and feed the ducks!

I love Rainbows

Mother to be

This wonderful bird has nested here for at least 2 years. I made it my mission to catch her in this year after seeing her empty nest last spring. The nest is magnificent.

Most of the swans living on Britain's waterways belong to the Crown, a status enjoyed by these graceful white birds since the 12th Century. Swans are regal and remind us of the days of English dignity and calm restraint. Yet they are strong, confident and assertive when protecting their young. The Swan is one of the most popular pub names also. [link]

The swan would be enjoyed as part of a Yuletide feast, but only by the King/Queen or by permission of said monarch!
