Another view of the corrugated iron church. Apparently it took 5 days to build! Situated in a little village not far from me, This Iron Church was built in 1883, by Romany Gypsies who were occupying the area at the time. The Church is still used and the graves still tended.
Known as The Church in the Woods, it is a very peaceful and innocent place of worship. It hasnt changed much, and it's original features including Stained Glass windows are still cared for.
Here's an old picture of the church, It has no date, although there was a Census in 1891, which lists names with the address of Bramdean Common. [link]
